Cancelled: Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay Work Day

​I am sad to report that I have heard from the staff at Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay and they cannot accomodate our group for April 28th's Rebuild Day. I was disappointed to hear this news on such short notice, especially since our BAAA team has been volunteering for the past few years with this organization. To make a long story short, this year's event was sponsored by a few large corporations who supplied their own volunteers and paired with a low turnout of houses to revitalize, they simply do not have work for our group to do. There has been some internal changes in the group which I believe to have led to their lack of communication with us. There are future events in the works that we are first in line to volunteer as a group for; I will keep everyone informed when I know more.

 

HOWEVER, if you are in the mood to give back in the community this weekend, our Community Service Committee is participating in Relay for Life Carillon Park, Transamerica Field 570 Carillon Parkway Saint Petersburg, FL 33716 on Friday, April 27th from 6pm - midnight. This family friendly event needs volunteer walkers and donations for raffle items! Our Power of Life Team theme is “Cat in the Hat” Wear your cat in the hat shirts, hats, costumes!
