Pinellas COVID-Related Rental Assistance Programs
Featuring the Pinellas Cares program
Has the COVID-19 emergency impacted your residents’ ability to make rent?
Do they need help getting back on their feet?
Please join BAAA for an informational webinar to discuss assistance programs available to our residents in Pinellas County.
This discussion will feature Micki Thompson, the President/CEO of Tampa Bay 211, the organization implementing the Pinellas CARES program. Pinellas CARES provides up to $5,000 in rental and utility assistance for Pinellas County residents financially impacted by the COVID-19 emergency. Micki will provide an overview of how this program works and will also discuss other programs 211 administers that residents may be eligible for.
Additionally, the Pinellas Community Foundation has recently issued multiple grants to area legal aid groups and the Pinellas Opportunity Council (POC) to help residents financially impacted by COVID-19. The objective of these grants is to help residents avoid eviction by having rental debt paid off. Tammy Greer, Executive Director of Gulf Coast Legal Services, will discuss how their Rental Payment Program works, and how the different organizations are working together to ensure past due rent is paid, and how these programs can help residents with rent through December.
