Still Need the Required Human Trafficking Training?

Posted By: Krystal Humphrey Education,
Pursuant to changes made to Florida Statute Section 509.096, public lodging establishments are required to adhere to new requirements to combat human trafficking. Apartment communities are classified as public lodging establishments under Florida law, so these new requirements are applicable to our industry and will be enforced by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) starting January 1, 2021.
The Florida Apartment Association hosted a webinar featuring a representative of the DBPR to discuss these new requirements and how they would be applied to apartment communities. To view the webinar, you will need to log into your FAA account.
Each trainee needs to view the webinar and email Rona@faahq.org after completion to receive the certificate.
